About Nauset Newcomers

Nauset Newcomers, Inc. was founded in 1977 with the purpose of offering new residents in the area more opportunities to become involved in their communities. The main goals of the founders included:

· Providing new residents in the Nauset Region with an opportunity to become more easily acquainted with other residents of the area.

· Offering members information on Cape Cod, its history, facilities, services and recreational areas.

· Holding meetings and sponsoring programs with a wide variety of activities as requested by the interests of the membership.

· Enhancing life, whenever possible, by supporting community services and contributing to worthwhile local causes.

Nauset Newcomers, Inc. currently has over 1100 members from the four towns of Brewster, Eastham, Orleans and Wellfleet and welcomes all Nauset Region newcomers to join our activities.

Joining Nauset Newcomers is a wonderful way to meet new people who are interested in participating in the varied menu of educational, group activities and social events offered by the club and forming new friendships along the way.

Dues

Nauset Newcomers, Inc. is a not for profit organization. The annual dues of $15.00 per member ( $30.00 per couple) for the current year are used to cover the operating expenses incurred by the organization.  To join, print and complete a registration form

Meetings

General monthly meetings are held September through May at 9:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Wellfleet Cinema on Route 6 in Wellfleet. A program featuring a wide variety of guest speakers and entertainers follows the business portion of the meeting. Refreshments are served before the meeting and during the break.

Social Events

Monthly social events, planned by members of the organization, include dining at some of the finest restaurants, attending performances of local artists as well as day trips into Boston to enjoy the theater, symphony, museums and sporting events.

Group Activities

Interest groups are formed each year and always welcome new members. Some of these are related to physical activities while others are devoted to games, education, artistic talents, etc. All offer both couples and singles the opportunity to participate and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow members.
