Nauset Newcomers, Inc. was founded in 1977 with the purpose of offering new
residents in the area more opportunities to become involved in their
communities. The main goals of the founders included:

Providing new residents in the Nauset Region
with an opportunity to become more easily acquainted with other residents of
the area.

Offering members information on Cape Cod,
its history, facilities, services and recreational areas.
·
Holding meetings and sponsoring programs
with a wide variety of activities as requested by the interests of the
membership.
·
Enhancing life, whenever possible, by
supporting community services and contributing to worthwhile local causes.
Nauset Newcomers, Inc. currently has over 1100 members from the four towns
of Brewster, Eastham, Orleans and Wellfleet and welcomes all Nauset Region
newcomers to join our activities.
Joining Nauset Newcomers is a wonderful way to meet new people who are
interested in participating in the varied menu of educational, group
activities and social events offered by the club and forming new friendships
along the way.
Dues
Nauset Newcomers, Inc. is a not for profit organization. The annual dues of
$15.00
per member ( $30.00 per couple) for the current year are used to cover the operating expenses

Meetings
General monthly meetings are held September through May at 9:30 a.m. on the
second Wednesday of each month at the Wellfleet Cinema on Route 6 in
Wellfleet. A program featuring a wide variety of guest speakers and
entertainers follows the business portion of the meeting. Refreshments are
served before the meeting and during the break.
Social Events
Monthly social events, planned by members of the organization, include
dining at some of the finest restaurants, attending performances of local
artists as well as day trips into Boston to enjoy the theater, symphony,
museums and sporting events.
Group Activities
Interest groups are formed each year and always welcome new members. Some
of these are related to physical activities while others are devoted to games,
education, artistic talents, etc. All offer both couples and singles the
opportunity to participate and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow members.
